August's @aurifilthread Artisan challenge was 'Sewing on the Go'. At the @thefestivalofquilts at the beginning of the month I treated myself to the beautiful book 'Bojagi' by the lovely @youngminlee_bojagi along with some of her silk fabric and have spent the summer holidays taking it with me when I took my boys out and about. Sewing small shapes together is so portable....in the last few weeks it has been to the Lido, football training, the Grandparent's and finally to the sofa with the dog to finish off this jogakbo lamp! I started just making panels with the silk and Aurifil 80wt thread (2625) before deciding what to do with it.....luckily my husband @harshwordswoodwork is a fantastic woodworker and made the frame for me to attach the panels to and make a lamp! It is so effective and worked exactly how I imagined it!
