Have you stood next to the ocean while observing the waves hit the beach? The tide moves constantly as it shifts between gentle and fierce states. Isn’t life similar to the ceaseless movement of ocean waves? You can go from peace to chaos so fast you find yourself in a storm trying to survive.
I’ve been there. Maybe you’re there right now. But here’s the thing: Despite the chaos around you, you can find ways to maintain your balance. The secret lies not in dodging the waves but in maintaining a secure anchor.
I don’t know what storm you’re facing. You may find yourself unable to sleep because of financial struggles or because your relationship is deteriorating. You might be carrying anxiety, which acts as a heavy burden you can’t get rid of.
I’ve been in those places too. I’ve called for help while doubting if peace could exist in a world that seemed to collapse around me. But let me tell you something I’ve learned: God's peace exists as a tangible truth that holds immense power. This peace exists outside of logic yet requires no logical explanation. This gift exists for you continuously, even amidst the crashing waves.
There’s a verse in the Bible that says, “And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus” (Philippians 4:7). Let that sink in for a moment.
You cannot manufacture this peace or work towards obtaining it. It’s not about having everything figured out. You feel loved directly by the Prince of Peace himself. And that changes everything.
I recall days filled with overwhelming fear and doubt. I tried to fix everything on my own—spoiler alert: it didn’t work. My efforts only led me to increased exhaustion and frustration. Finally, I gave up. I told God, “I can’t do this. You take it.” And you know what? Gradually, His peace enveloped me.
I didn’t see a magical solution to my problems, but I experienced personal transformation. The realization hit me that God, my Father, was managing everything while I felt completely overwhelmed and alone during my toughest moments.
Yes, I am sure you have been there.
The essence of being anchored in peace lies in the stability it provides. The key is not to evade storms but to understand that your anchor is secure. Jesus is that anchor. He’s steady, unchanging, and strong.
Through trust in Him, your heart and mind receive His peace, which holds you steady like an anchor prevents ships from drifting during storms.
I understand that you might think, “This sounds wonderful, yet I don’t experience that tranquilly."
I’ve been there too. But here’s the thing: You have the option to move beyond your current state. Take a deep breath. Pause for a moment. Open up to God about what burdens your mind, including your fears and worries as well as your doubts. He knows everything but waits for your invitation.
My friend, life will always have its waves. But understand you have the support to face these challenges because you're not alone. The peace provided by your Father God creates a sense of calm that remains incomprehensible to others.
Deep within your soul, you hear the gentle whisper of peace telling you that you are safe.
You’re loved.
Release your fear and control desires because you are held. Let Jesus be your anchor today.
You can experience His peace because it remains steadfast and powerful without any possibility of being disturbed.
You’re not alone. Be anchored in His peace, and let it guard your heart.
