Why I Wrote Holding It All: My Origin Story as an Author

Holding it All by Luz Molina

There was a moment I couldn’t ignore anymore.

For years—decades, really—I had become the person everyone could count on. The one who showed up. The one who carried the details, the feelings, the schedules, the needs, the invisible weight. I knew how to keep going. I knew how to make room for everyone else. And for a long time, I wore that like a badge of honor.

But somewhere along the way, I realized I had gotten very good at showing up for everyone except myself.

That truth was hard to face.

I didn’t write Holding It All because I had everything figured out. I wrote it because I know what it feels like to be the caregiver, the multitasker, the heart-centered woman everyone leans on—while quietly running on empty. I wrote it because I know how easy it is to believe that being strong means carrying everything without pause, without help, without softness.

And I wrote it because I no longer believe that’s the only way.

For the woman carrying it all, finally ready to carry it differently.

That is the heart of this book.

Holding It All is my way of reaching for the woman who is capable of so much but tired in places no one sees. The woman answering texts, managing households, holding families together, leading with love, and still wondering when her own turn will come.

If that’s where you are, this book is for you.

Its message is simple, but it changed me:

You can do everything — but you don't have to carry it the same way anymore.

That shift matters.

Not giving up.

Not becoming less caring.

Not walking away from what matters.

Just learning a new way to hold your life.

A way that includes you, too.

This book was born from that emotional truth: that so many women are praised for how much they can hold, but rarely invited to ask what all that holding is costing them. I wanted to write something honest. Something gentle. Something real enough to sit beside a woman in the middle of her full life and whisper, there is another way to do this.

Holding It All releases on August 1, 2026.

Along with the book, I’ve also created the Companion Workbook for readers who want space to reflect, process, and put these ideas into practice in their own lives.

And for those who want the full experience, there’s the Hold It Differently bundle, created to offer extra support as you begin making this shift for yourself.

More than anything, I hope this book feels like company.

Not pressure.

Not perfection.

Not one more thing to achieve.

Just a hand on your shoulder.

A deep breath.

A reminder that strength does not have to mean exhaustion.

If you have spent years being everything for everyone else, I want you to know this: showing up for yourself is not selfish. It is necessary. It is healing. And sometimes, it is where the truest version of your life begins.

I wrote Holding It All from that place.

And if you’re ready, I’d be honored to share it with you.
