How to Hatch Quail Eggs

Hatching quail eggs is easier than most people think. With the right temperature, humidity, and a little patience, you'll have healthy chicks in about 17 days.

Use fertile eggs that are less than 7 days old.

Set your incubator to 99.5°F with 45–55% humidity.

Turn the eggs at least 3–5 times a day until Day 14 (unless your incubator turns them automatically).

On Day 15, stop turning the eggs and raise humidity to 65–70% for lockdown.

Most chicks hatch on Days 16–18. Let them dry completely before moving them to a warm brooder.

A little patience goes a long way—and before you know it, your incubator will be full of tiny, fluffy quail chicks!
