Your tiller worked hard all season—but putting it away dirty and full of old fuel can mean trouble next spring.
Before winter storage, give it a little attention:
clean the tines
change the oil
check the spark plug and air filter
inspect for wear
lubricate moving parts
and either drain or properly stabilize the fuel.
A little maintenance now can help prevent rust, hard starts, and costly repairs later.
Now I want to hear from you: Do you service your tiller before winter, or do you park it in the shed and deal with it in the spring? And what's one winter-storage trick you swear by?
