So you prayed for something, God heard you, and he saw fit to bless you with it. You praised him, thanked him, and shared the good news of what he has done for you.
Now, things aren’t going as smoothly as you thought they were going to go. Now you’re questioning whether this was the right move, and whether you really heard God’s voice. And if it were God’s voice, why does it feel like this new thing that you have prayed for isn’t going as smoothly as you planned it?
The real question is, has God brought you to this new place to leave you high and dry? The answer is absolutely NOT.
Often, we trust God to answer our prayers but don’t trust him enough to keep us afloat IN THE answered prayer as if our trust in him is measured by the blessings that we can SEE, such as the new job, the new car, the new apartment, the new relationship, etc. But sometimes our trust fades when the co-workers at the new job are giving you problems, the new car needs brakes, the new apartment leaks, and the new relationship needs a little patience from you. This is where we have to remember that God will sustain us and that we must have faith in him in the in-between.
So don’t lose hope because things are a little shaky right now, God is unchanging – therefore, he is the same God that provided you these blessings, and he will continue to protect and guide you through it. God is ahead of us; he already knew you would encounter a few barriers on this journey. Yet he still placed this in your hands because he already worked it out for you. Your part is to trust him, trust him in the unseen.
