TRUST GOD’S TIMING: HIS WILL, HIS WAY, YOUR BREAKTHROUGH

One of the most challenging things about walking with God is the unknown, but it’s also one of the best. There’s this person whom we have to become, and to become that person, we have to be torn down and rebuilt. I know you’re like “hold up now!” Stick with me, to become this person whom God has called you to be, you have to get rid of the person your flesh wants you to be. Our fleshly desires do not align with God’s desires; for us to get there, we have to be rebuilt. We need a renewed mindset, a change in behavior, and a shift in perspective. So, when we’re waiting for the season to change, we have to use it as a way to learn to be content and to trust his timing.

I am going to give you a heads up: Your breakthrough is worth the wait.

It’s the “WHEN” that has us overwhelmed, frustrated, ready to quit, or just exhausted. I understand, I know what it’s like to cry out to the Lord about a change that I desperately want while trying to cope with the fact that he isn’t bringing me out of it right now. Also, while trying to keep reminding myself that his timing is better than mine, and that when it happens, it’s going to be perfect timing. In those moments, I can feel the disagreement between flesh and spirit – because my flesh is telling me “we don’t see how this is going to work.” Still, spiritually, I know that I don’t need to SEE how it’s going to work; I need to believe and trust that it will work, especially because I have witnessed God move things around, not only for me but for others. Therefore, I know his character.

When it does happen, he has to get all the glory. Humans struggle with that because we don’t physically see God working; we know “we applied for the job”, “we applied for the apartment”, “we left that relationship”, etc. Completely forgetting that God is ahead of us, he made a way for all these things to come to pass. He’s the one who gave us the ability even to get these things done. Note: The next time you try to take credit, remember God allowed it, and he was the one who moved things around for you before you even knew you would need things moved around for you. Let’s give GOD all the praise!

Now that you have been refined, you’re ready for your breakthrough. You’ve stuck with God, you cried out to him, you sought him, you prayed to him, you’re aligning your desires with him in the name of Jesus Christ.

The timeline may be longer than you’ve hoped for, but you’ll start to feel this deeper connection with the Lord. You can feel your faith has gone up a level, you’re eager to be obedient now, and you’re becoming more sensitive to what the Lord is telling you to do. All of this access and change won’t happen if we don’t learn to lean on God to get through the trials and tribulations of life. We need to learn that his promises are solid. He really will NEVER leave you nor FORSAKE you. It may feel like that, but feelings are temporary, and facts are forever – in the case…eternal.

Stick with the Lord and let Him lead you to your breakthrough.

SCRIPTURES:

  • He has made everything beautiful in its time. Also, he has put eternity into man’s heart, yet so that he cannot find out what God has done from the beginning to the end. - Ecclesiastes 3:11

  • The Lord is good to those who wait for him, to the soul who seeks him. It is good that one should wait quietly for the salvation of the Lord. - Lamentations 3:25-26

  • For everything there is a season, and a time for every matter under heaven. Ecclesiastes 3:1

  • The Lord will fight for you, and you have only to be silent. -Exodus 14:14

  • For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways and my thoughts than your thoughts. - Isaiah 55:9
