This is Chapter 7 of my book. This chapter is about an all-natural way to feel amazing inside and out. We are going beyond the physical to encompass mental, emotional, and spiritual well-being for a balanced and fulfilling life.
Dr 1) Exercise
Move your body daily. Aim for 15-30 minutes of activity you genuinely enjoy, such as a brisk walk in nature, a dance or aerobics class, or playing basketball with your kids. Experiment to find what makes you feel alive and make it a non-negotiable part of your routine.
Dr 2) Water
Hydration is key to curbing cravings and staying energized. Aim to drink half a glass of water every hour. You can add lemon or cucumber for flavor. Carrying a reusable stainless steel water bottle throughout the day is a total game-changer.
Dr 3) Sunshine
Spend 10-15 minutes in the sun three times a day. Sunlight is a natural mood booster and provides essential Vitamin D. Start your day with a morning walk and try to catch the last bit of light before the sun sets to feel more connected and grounded.
Dr 4) Fresh Air and Meditation
Stepping outside clears the head, but taking it further with meditation and deep breathing is transformative. Inhale through your nose and exhale slowly through your mouth like air letting out of a balloon. Practice this upon waking, at 3 PM to manage mid-day stress, and before bed. These practices regulate the nervous system, improve sleep, and support healthy digestion.
Dr 5) Healthy Food
Nourish your body with wholesome fruits, vegetables, and lean proteins. Avoid processed items and sugary drinks. Focus on long-term vitality rather than just weight loss. Cooking at home gives you control over ingredients and allows you to experiment with healthy recipes.
Dr 6) Sleep
Prioritize 7-8 hours of quality rest in a dark room. Create a relaxing bedtime routine and turn off your phone. Quality sleep is crucial for physical recovery and emotional balance. Lack of sleep leads to poor decisions, irritability, and decreased focus.
Dr 7) Laughter
Laughter reduces stress and boosts the immune system. Watch a funny movie or spend time with people who make you joyfully laugh. Don’t take life too seriously; find joy in the little things.
