In summary Certified Mail is a service that is offered by the united states post office (usps) as a way to track your first-class mail, while requiring a signature from the recipient. Every dispute letter should be sent certified mail!!

DO NOT SIGN YOUR DISPUTE LETTERS

Contrary to popular belief you should never sign your dispute letters, as the bureaus will try to use it against you. They'll also try to match your signatures on credit accounts with the one on your drivers license in order to validate it when you use certain consumer laws.
