Mattia Gagliardi
About Me
Ciao! I’m Mattia, a native Italian teacher from Bologna, one of Italy’s most historic and vibrant cities.
Over the past 7+ years, I’ve taught more than 7,000 hours of Italian lessons to students from all over the world. Working with learners from different cultures, ages, and goals has helped me develop a flexible teaching approach that adapts to every student.

My Teaching Experience
Throughout my teaching career, I’ve worked with a wide range of students, including:
- Adults taking intensive courses to progress quickly
- Children and teenagers, using engaging and interactive activities
- Professionals learning Italian for work or business
- Students preparing for Italian language exams

My Teaching Approach
I believe that language learning should be practical, engaging, and enjoyable.
My lessons combine:
- Real-life conversations and role-playing
- Authentic materials such as music, films, and stories
- Structured grammar explanations
- Vocabulary building through meaningful context
The goal is not just to study Italian, but to use it confidently in real situations.
A Supportive Learning Environment
Learning a language requires practice, patience, and confidence. I always aim to create a friendly and supportive environment where students feel comfortable speaking, asking questions, and making mistakes — because mistakes are a natural part of learning.
