But among the sea of choices—Thailand, Vietnam, Cambodia, Indonesia—one group consistently stands out: Filipinas. So the question arises: Do Filipinas actually "trump" Thai, Vietnamese, and other Southeast Asian women when it comes to being a life partner?
The answer, for many men who’ve made the comparison firsthand, is a resounding yes—and here’s why.

The Philippines is the third-largest English-speaking country in the world. From kindergarten to college, everything is taught in English. Yes, her family might want money from you if your wife is now a stay at home wife, but that is something you need to clearly communicate about before you get married. There is no real social security in the Philippines and theuir government won't support them like a Western government.Anyway, if you can't afford to give some money to the family or don't want to, Filipinas are probably not a good fit for you.
5. Beauty That’s Both Natural and Varied
While Thailand and Vietnam are known for their stunning women, Filipinas bring a diverse range of beauty. Some have Spanish-Malay features, some are Chinese-Filipino, some have morena (tan) skin, and others have lighter complexions. You’ll find slim, curvy, petite, or athletic body types—many with little to no plastic surgery.
Filipinas also take great pride in their appearance, often dressing feminine and keeping themselves looking fresh, even at home. You’ll rarely see a Filipina “let herself go” after settling down, especially if she genuinely loves and admires you.
6. Faith and Morals
Most Filipinas are raised Catholic or Christian, with strong religious roots. They’re not just going through the motions either—many genuinely believe in waiting for the right person, staying loyal, and building a life of purpose. While some Thai or Vietnamese women are Buddhist or atheist, which may appeal to some men, others are seeking someone who shares (or at least respects) a more spiritually grounded worldview.
