Sleep in the City: London Edition

London is a vibrant, bustling city with so much to offer. From its rich history and iconic landmarks like the Tower of London and Buckingham Palace, to the lively cultural scenes in places like Soho and Shoreditch, there's always something happening. Whether it's the diverse food markets, the world-class theatre productions in the West End, or the energy of its public spaces like Hyde Park and the South Bank, London truly is full of life.

Accommodation in central London is quite expensive, especially in popular areas like Westminster, Covent Garden, and Chelsea. Prices can vary depending on factors like the location, type of and the time of year. If you're looking for more affordable options, you might consider staying in areas slightly outside central London, in Zone 2.

This is what we've done last December and let me tell you we saved hundreds of pounds! We chose to stay in Stratford, a lively area, home to Westfield shopping center and the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park. In fact, Westfield shopping center was less than a 5 minute walk from our hotel. Stratford station is also less than a 5 minute walk from the hotel, traveling within zones 1 and 2 is extremely easy and straightforward and the price of a ride on the underground on and between Zones 1 and 2 is also the same, a win, win!
