I'm an island girl through and through and the Greek islands happen to be some of my favourite destinations in Europe! Pictures of the dramatic landscapes, the breathtaking sunsets, and the unique architecture sold Santorini to me and I knew when I'd visit, I would want to stay in one of the stunning cave hotels with an outdoor tub and a view of the caldera!
And so my research for the most budget friendly way to do so and let me tell you I stumbled up on a gem of a place at a FRACTION of the price. Visiting in the beginning of May also meant prices were cheaper. The weather was already very warm and the crowds were less than in the height of the peak season. It was a very good move, so I would highly suggest taking into consideration.

For less than EUR 100 between two persons, go for the Deluxe Cave Suite (rather than the Standard Cave Suite), the room is directly on the Caldera with the perfect view of the Aegean sea and the sunset. Once you see the caldera and step inside, you’ll know you’ve arrived in a place unlike any other.
