On His Mother’s Side, On His Father’s Side

Have you ever paused to think about the mystery of who Jesus truly is?

He wasn’t just a great teacher or prophet — He was fully man and fully God.

In Him, heaven touched earth. Eternity stepped into time.

On His mother’s side, He was the Son of Man — born of Mary, walking dusty roads, feeling hunger, thirst, and pain.

But on His Father’s side, He was the Son of God — the great I AM, the One who spoke creation into being and holds all things together.

On His mother’s side, He prayed in Gethsemane.

On His Father’s side, angels stood ready at His command.

On His mother’s side, He wept at Lazarus’ tomb.

On His Father’s side, He called Lazarus out of the grave.

On His mother’s side, He carried the cross.

On His Father’s side, He conquered death.

This beautiful duality shows us just how much He understands. He knows what it’s like to be human — to feel weary, tempted, and misunderstood. Yet He also reigns as God — powerful, victorious, and sovereign.

When you face your own human limitations, remember:

You serve a Savior who knows your struggle and has power to deliver.

He is both your comforter and your conqueror.

🕊 Scripture to Reflect On:

“For in Christ all the fullness of the Deity lives in bodily form.” — Colossians 2:9
“The Word became flesh and made His dwelling among us.” — John 1:14

💭 Today’s Thought:

Because Jesus is both human and divine, He’s not just near you — He understands you. And because He’s God, He has the power to lift you out of anything you face.
