God’s timing is perfect — He’s never late. But sometimes, we unintentionally delay what He has planned by the words we speak.
The Bible reminds us: “Death and life are in the power of the tongue” (Proverbs 18:21). Too often, we emphasize the “life” part, forgetting that careless or negative words can plant seeds of destruction.
Phrases like “This headache is killing me,” “I can’t handle this,” or “I’ll never make it through” may sound harmless, but words carry weight. I’ve seen the impact firsthand — in my own life and in my family. Looking back, I realize how things I spoke in frustration or fear began to take root.
Faith and Speech Go Hand in Hand
My book Faith Unfolded walks through how to apply faith step by step — grounded in Scripture, not opinion. One of the key lessons is learning to speak from a place of belief, even when circumstances don’t make sense.
Faith is a journey, and yes, it feels risky at times. But when your spirit nudges you to trust God, listen. He meets us at our level of faith.
