I completely agree with this quote!
While it’s not easy to move to a new place, staying somewhere that makes you unhappy is even harder. Here’s my story: I was born in Italy, but at an early age, we moved to Germany. From the moment I arrived in Germany, I knew I wasn’t going to stay.
At 14, I made my first attempt to move back to Italy, but after two years, I realized that the small village I was in wasn’t for me.
So, I returned to Germany, finished my education and studies—one of the best decisions I ever made—but deep down, I knew I wasn’t going to stay.
At 21, I moved to Apulia, but it didn’t feel right for me, so I moved back to Germany. Then, I tried Calabria, but once again, it didn’t feel like home. Finally, 13 years ago, I decided to move to Barcelona, and it turned out to be the best decision of my life.
So, if you're not happy where you are, explore places you think you’d love, and then make the move. What’s the worst that can happen? Staying in a place that doesn’t bring you joy guarantees that nothing will change, and one day, you might regret not having tried.
