How Real Estate and Hospitality Came Together in the Caribbean

This course was born out of real collaboration, real learning, and a shared vision.

Two Years in the Making

Over two years ago, LHA began working together on a resort and residences project in the Caribbean. It was a world where hospitality and real estate had to coexist at the highest level: a five-star hotel paired with pre-construction condominium sales. Cezil brought her expertise in pre-construction sales and how development deals are structured. Teresa brought her background in luxury hospitality, having worked with some of the world’s most iconic brands — Ritz-Carlton, St. Regis, and Hotel Bel-Air.

What we discovered through that collaboration was eye-opening. Pre-sales were not optional — they were essential, part of the capital stack that makes the entire project possible. At the same time, in pursuit of the Forbes Five-Star designation, Teresa was tasked with writing service standards and staffing guidelines based on what it takes to achieve that level of excellence. She knew the training piece was just as critical — Forbes trains staff so they can step into that world of luxury with confidence, even when their personal backgrounds are far removed from those of their guests.

The Parallels of Hotels and Real Estate

In working side by side, we began to notice parallels. Real estate agents, like hotel staff, come from all walks of life. Some move between franchises — from RE/MAX to Sotheby’s to Compass — with little more than a change of business card. Unlike hospitality, there is no universal training that ensures an agent can step into the world of a high-net-worth client and truly belong there. We saw that the gap was clear.

Luxury in Real Estate Sales

That’s when the idea clicked: what if we brought the structure and refinement of hotel training to real estate? What if agents could learn the nuances and unspoken expectations of UHNW clients — the same way a front desk agent at a Rosewood learns to confidently welcome a billionaire into the Presidential Suite?

This program is the answer to that question. It is not about selling harder. It is about transforming yourself into a professional who understands the subtleties, the mindset, and the standards of the luxury world. It is about dressing the part, speaking with vision, and guiding clients with the confidence and grace they expect — not just reciting statistics about square footage or price per foot.

We didn’t set out to create “just another course.” We built a roadmap to help agents elevate themselves in a way that is both authentic and practical. A program that resonates with the world of wealth because it was inspired by the world of hospitality.

This is the story of how two disciplines came together — hospitality and real estate — to create something entirely new. And this is your invitation to step into it.
