Hi, I'm Li Laing.

I am a bilingual educator, author, business professional, and advocate dedicated to helping people build confidence through language, communication, education, and personal growth.

Born in Panama and raised primarily in the United States, I hold a Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration and am a certified TESOL/TEFL, IELTS, and TOEFL instructor. With more than 35 years of experience in communication and business and over six years of teaching experience, I have worked with children, teens, and adults from diverse backgrounds around the world.

At Li Laing Language Academy, I create self-paced courses and educational resources designed to help learners develop practical skills they can use in everyday life. My programs focus on English and Spanish language learning, writing development, public speaking, exam preparation, financial literacy, and essential life skills.

Each course includes structured lessons, guided practice, and comprehensive workbooks that support independent learning and long-term success. My goal is to make learning accessible, engaging, and meaningful while helping students gain the confidence to communicate effectively and achieve their personal, academic, and professional goals.

Beyond education, I have spent nearly 20 years as a human rights advocate and activist, working to promote equality, inclusion, dignity, and respect for all people. I am a proud advocate for the LGBTQIA+ community and HIV/AIDS awareness, supporting efforts that empower individuals, combat discrimination, and create opportunities for underserved communities. My advocacy work has reinforced my belief that education, communication, and understanding are powerful tools for creating positive change.

I am also the author of *Against All Odds / En Contra de Todo Pronóstico*, a memoir inspired by my personal journey of resilience, perseverance, and transformation. Having overcome significant challenges throughout my life, I am passionate about helping others discover their strengths, embrace lifelong learning, and pursue their goals with confidence.
