Jonathon Melendrez is a professional dancer and dance professional with a passion for teaching others. He is the owner of Melendrez Dance Studios serving clients in Broward and Palm Beach Counties, where he offers a variety of dance classes for students of all ages and skill levels. 

Jonathon has over 35 years of experience in the dance industry and has trained with some of the top dancers and instructors in the world. 

Born in Alamogordo, New Mexico, Jonathon Melendrez was exposed to music and dance from an early age. Alongside his brother, he often showcased his skills to family and friends. In high school, he formed a dance group that performed in competitions and showcases. At 16 years old, he applied as a certified dance professional at an Arthur Murray dance studio in New Hampshire. After 12 years of competing, performing, and training, he earned certifications in American smooth rhythm, bronze silver gold, and won numerous awards as a professional Pro-Am competitor.

In addition to his achievements as a dance professional, Jonathon Melendrez has been teaching competitive ballroom and Latin dance since high school and has received numerous awards and accolades in the industry. He has also had the honor of performing at multiple Super Bowl halftime shows.

He also choreographed hundreds of wedding first dance routines, earning glowing five-star reviews and won awards of the Best of The Knot for wedding dance choreography for six consecutive years. Melendrez has also received a Best of The Knot - Hall of Fame award for wedding first dance choreography and dance lessons in South Florida.

As a highly sought-after dance instructor, Jonathon Melendrez has worked with both private clients and groups of all ages and skill levels. He has a talent for breaking down complex dance moves into easy-to-follow steps, allowing his students to quickly improve their technique and confidence on the dance floor. His dedication to his craft has earned him a reputation as one of the top local dance professionals in the South Florida industry.

In addition to owning his own studio, Jonathon is also the Dance Director of Royal Palace Dance Studios, which has four locations in New Hampshire. He is known for his energetic and engaging teaching style, and is dedicated to helping his students achieve their dance goals. Jonathon believes that dance is a form of self-expression and a way to stay physically and mentally healthy, and he strives to share his love of dance with as many people as possible.
