About the Author

Muaye is a voice that once echoed from the shadows, searching for light through words. Writing—especially poetry—became more than self-expression; it became a way to process, to heal, and to reconnect with the parts of herself that the world tried to silence. Through each piece, Muaye offers a spark: a reflection of emotion, a breath of hope, or simply the reminder that no one is alone in their darkness.

The name Muaye comes from the Douala language and means “light.”

It’s more than a name—it’s a purpose. Light guides, comforts, and reveals the path forward. Choosing this name is a tribute: to cultural roots, to identity, and to the strength of the soul in the face of depression, anxiety, and silence.

Muaye writes to honor stories that live in quiet places—stories that deserve to be seen, felt, and remembered. Through her poetry, she reaches out to weary souls, offering not only her truth but a possible way out of the shadows.
