Hey friends! Here’s what I worked on this week and what is coming next in the shop, my writing desk, and the channel.
This week’s highlights:
Writing updates:
- Editing my first draft
YouTube Progress:
- Uploaded a promotional video for my Magyk Creation Heart Patterns
- Uploaded a video to get insights into my viewers
- Got 15 new subscribers bringing us up to 577
Personal Wins:
- Got my storage smaller unit emptied.
- Finished laundry
- Did my first week of work blocks and it worked really well.
- Wrote a business plan
Numbers or Stats:
- Hours stitched: 4
- Words written: Roughly 500

Challenges & Lessons Learned:
This week has been tough because I am struggling to pay my bills at the moment and don’t know if my phone is going to be shut off in a week. On top of that to proceed with proper business set up I need to fundraise, but I can’t seem to justify fundraising for that when I can’t pay my bills. My kids Halloween costume is still not finished and he is getting so disappointed, we have discussed cancelling Halloween this year.
I did get some good news that my baby’s insurance should be able to be renewed before the month ends. They are supposed to look at it this coming week. Unfortunately, I got some bad news too. Apparently, my renewal has failed because I haven’t been able to get a letter from my job but I think I have a solution for that. However, now my job also wants a reason for my leave but as far as I knew it was because they didn’t like the wording in my return to work note and my doctor couldn’t provide them with a different one. So at this point in time I don’t know if I have a job to return to. If I do I might be returning to work next month which almost feels pointless since the baby is due at the beginning of December.
This week has taught me that I really need to learn how to pivot better. I have had amazing success with 15 subscribers on my YouTube channel. That is more than I have gotten in a while. I am also considering asking my child if he wants to wear the costume as is for Halloween and we can either modify it or save to get him a professional one next year and we can just redo this years theme.
Next Week’s Focus:
- Draft a disclaimer for my content
- Raising money to keep my phone on and pay for the business progress
- Following up with my cases
- Respond to feedback from viewers
- Sorting through laundry and getting it put up
- Make a short video about the government shutdown regardless of whether I post it or not
- Finishing the backlog of video outlines that I need to do and getting started on recording them for the channel since I didn't quite get caught up this past week
- Work on promoting my Payhip site
- Finishing projects to sell
