Challenges & Lessons Learned:

This week has been tough because I have been trying to adjust to a new schedule where the kids go to bed around the same time every night instead of just on school nights which decreases the ability of me to be able to work on things past their bedtime. Since I will be having a visit from the landlord in the next week or two that makes it extremely stressful as I haven’t finished fixing the kids room yet. I am also struggling to figure out how to pay both my phone bill and get new glasses which is frustrating because it is getting really hard to see with my current glasses. I am also sad because my work got rid of the stuff on my desk despite me still being employed there and I can’t easily replace the stuff either.

I got one of my bills taken care of though, and it is officially paid off so I don’t have to worry about it anymore. My sixth grader got caught up in his reading lessons. So that is pretty cool.

This week has taught me that being the perfect parent is impossible and there is something in between being too authoritarian and being too on the side of gentle parenting that works better in some situations than either extreme. It has also taught me that I am having issues with emotional regulation because I often hold things in instead of letting them flow out. This often leads to some minor issue becoming a huge issue when it shouldn’t be. Often this happens because I don’t know what is going on underneath it. So that is something I should definitely talk about in therapy this week.

Next Week's Focus:

  • Make a video
  • Make $500 to pay the phone bill and get new glasses
  • Make $800 for the business
  • Finish my cross-stitch pattern
  • Finish organizing the boys' room
  • Get the bathroom repaired and cleaned
  • Watch FPU with my partner
  • Finish the projects I have lined up for my YouTube Channel
  • Finish reading Supernatural Investigations Series
