Hey friends! Here’s what I worked on this week and what is coming next in the shop, my writing desk, and the channel.
This Week's Highlights:
- YouTube Progress:
- Got 159 new subscribers bringing the channel to 922
- Personal Wins:
- Got all my beaded lizards up on the site.
- Attended the 0-1 Ready for Kindergarten meeting
- Finished organizing the boys' room
- Found all the baby clothes
- Took Draven to his first birthday party for a friend
- Uploaded a new book review blog post
- Sypher started Tae Kwon Do

Challenges & Lessons Learned:
This week has been tough because Thanksgiving was needing to be rescheduled to fit everyone’s schedule. Unfortunately, this caused more family conflict than I thought it would and now certain members of the family aren’t speaking and as a result because of my closeness to those family members I have lost some connections that were important to me. Also struggling figuring out the finances this month but I have a solution.
We took the kids to the try Tae Kwon Do. Sypher was able to break the board in his one on one easy, but Draven had to get out of his head. After two trial classes Sypher decided he wanted to continue, and Draven decided it wasn’t for him. I have also recently started getting back into my spiritual practices.
This week has taught me that you can’t make everyone happy. Sometimes doing what is best for your peace is what is best for you and your family. Sometimes keeping your peace means removing people from your space that don’t know how to respect it. It has also taught me that sometimes the best therapy is just talking to the Higher Power or even just taking a moment to breathe and reground into who you want to be. For me this often looks like talking to the Higher Power, taking a moment to breathe and release tension while I remember how I want to show up in my life, and taking a moment of silence to watch the sunrise and sunset everyday.
