National Read a Book Day It falls each year on September 6. Pick up a new book or read an old favourite. 81% of people don’t feel we spend as much time reading as we would like too. So, today is the perfect opportunity to :
- Improve your cognitive skills and development
- Can lower stress levels
- Improving concentration and memory.
When you begin reading aloud to your child, it essentially provides them with background knowledge on their young world, which helps them make sense of what they see, hear, and read.Studies have shown that adults who spend time reading tend to take part in activities over their lifetime that are more mentally stimulating.Plus, if you are one of those people that love quotes, you are going to find plenty of good ones when reading books.
If you don’t like to read, you haven’t found the right book.
