Before Friday the 13th became a superstition, it was a sacred day for women, who tracked their menstrual cycles by the 13 moons in a year, the Divine Feminine way of telling time.
Since the patriarchy wanted to control time and women, they turned it into superstition, teaching people it was “evil.” Nothing could be further from the truth. Friday is connected to the planet Venus and the Norse goddess Freya, representing love, beauty, and fertility; the Divine Feminine herself.
Here we are in February 2026, with two Friday the 13ths back-to-back, nestled between eclipse season (Solar Eclipse in Aquarius, Lunar Eclipse in Virgo). I interpret this as the cosmos asking the collective (Aquarius) to reclaim the power of the Divine Feminine and become whole unto themselves (Virgo).
The cosmos is aligning to remind us: women’s power is not to be feared, hidden, or silenced. Saturn’s move into Aries on Friday the 13th calls us to stand in our truth, trust our intuition, and claim our authority. True freedom isn’t given, it’s chosen, through courage, discipline, and honoring yourself.
Practical rituals to honor this sacred gateway: light a candle, create or cleanse an altar, and leave an offering of an apple for the goddess, along with milk and honey.
Journal prompt for the eclipse portals: take a moment to ask yourself, Where have I silenced my voice? Where have I turned away from my power? Let these sacred Fridays guide you back to yourself.
