How to cope with life after grief

Life after grief never quite feels the same...

There's often a feeling of emptiness and feeling lost. The passing of a loved one leaves a giant whole that can't be replaced.

It's often the things you did routinely that become the hardest in grief. That's when the absence is noticed the most.

That first morning cup of coffee with your husband, that Sunday brunch with mum, tucking your child in bed at night, that afternoon walk with your dog....

The every day things you loved become constant reminders that they are now in spirit.

The simplest of tasks become so hard.

And grief is often very lonely.

We're not taught how to navigate grief, only to suppress it. So grief becomes consuming in private.

As a medium, I wanted to share with you some ways to help you cope with grief, no matter how long it's been since your loved one has passed.

Your family members will also be grieving too, so it's best to support yourself outside of your family & friend circle.

🦋Connect with the Spirit: Remember that your loved ones are never truly gone. They live on in spirit, and you can maintain a connection with them. Try talking to them, sharing your thoughts and feelings, and you might receive signs or messages in return. This can provide comfort and a sense of ongoing connection.

🦋Honor Their Memory: Create a special space or ritual to honor your loved one's memory. Light a candle, keep a photo, or engage in activities that remind you of the happy moments you shared. Celebrating their life can help you focus on the positive aspects of your relationship and bring a sense of healing.

🦋Embrace a New Routine: Over time, it's essential to create a new daily routine that reflects your changed life. While it's natural to grieve the loss of routines you once shared with your loved one, developing new daily rituals and activities can help you regain a sense of normalcy and purpose. It's a way to move forward while still cherishing their memory.

Life after grief doesn't have to feel empty or lonely. You can absolutely thrive and continue to experience all the wonderful things life has to offer with the connections with your loved ones in spirit guiding you.
