I decided to use a bunch of copper I had collected a few years back. I wanted to clean it up and find a new purpose for it. It was a fairly messy job to clean it all, and cut it to size, hammer it flat, and ended up having smaller pieces. I had spoken with a former boss I worked for in a flower shop- I always admired her style. She always had a unique sense of design, which I admired. I could look at a design, and know it was hers. She mentioned doing a line of horoscope pendants, so I ran with that, doing it in my own way. I have started with only 12 pendants in order to get the design and shape the way I wanted it, and in a way that I was confident it would etch into the copper without any issues. It worked perfectly in my opinion. I also wanted to make them easy to wear, without all the tiny little clasps that my arthritic fingers cant ever operate- a reason I always wear one necklace, I don't have the patience to try to take it off. I decided to make these all slip over your head, easy to wear and easy to take off. I have started with 12 of these, and if they sell I will make more. The entire process from pipe to finished necklace takes me a little over a week- so if you want a special order, I would love to make you one, it just will take a little time. Here is the finished line in pictures, I have a show this weekend where they will be on display, and then will have them up for sale on the website after.
