A Lunar Invitation to Taste My Own Healing
Tonight, the moon rose full and glowing like a ripe fruit in the sky — the Strawberry Moon. And with it, something stirred in me. Something ancient. Something tender. Something true.
Named by the Algonquin and other Indigenous peoples, the Strawberry Moon marks the ripening of wild berries — the sweetness that arrives after the work, the bloom that comes after the planting. Spiritually, this moon is an invitation to receive. To soften. To taste the medicine I’ve been making through all my surviving.
For me, this full moon arrives like a gentle oracle, whispering:
“You are no longer only the wound. You are the fruit.”
🍓 What the Strawberry Moon Means for Me
Ripening: It asks me to see how far I’ve come. To notice what is blooming in my life — not just what is broken.
Receiving: It invites me to receive sweetness without shame. To stop apologizing for wanting joy, softness, rest.
Releasing: It opens my heart and says, let go. Of old stories, sister wounds, guilt inherited from ancestors.
Remembering: It reminds me that I am not just healing for myself, but for my children, for my lineage, for the world I am dreaming into being.
💫 You Are Invited Too
If you’ve been holding grief, if joy feels dangerous, if your heart has been on lockdown — this moon is for you.
Let yourself receive the sweetness of your own survival. Let yourself become the fruit.
With lunar love and berry-red dreams,
Luna D.
