Let’s talk about “power”.
What do you think of when you hear the word, “power”?
Money? An Executive position? “Wearing the pants” of a romantic relationship? Being a politician?
What is it for YOU?
How about a pen?
“What do you mean, ‘how about a pen’, Chris?”
Well, “power” is in the eye of the beholder. There is NO standard of power. Each of us bestows power on a specific level. Unfortunately, only a FEW of us see this.
What is a “pen”? Is it just a utensil to jot down thoughts, ideas, etc.?
No.
The pen is an extension of your MIND. Some must ask, “how can I EVER explain my thoughts to the world”? The PEN is that answer. Though it’s magic typically goes unnoticed, a pen to paper is essentially your mind being displayed to the WORLD. Do you have any idea how unbelievable it is that we can simply close our EYES and imagine anything we want to? Think about this. How powerful, huh?
Each person is significantly different from everyone else. Though, we only HEAR a FEW stories. Why is it that your story is not as important as others? The truth is…. it is. PICK UP THE PEN. WRITE.
Some people will hate what you write. Some people will love what you write. Some people will completely disregard what you write, while others will begin to follow your WRITINGS.
How powerful, huh?
ONE mind. ONE Pen. ONE paper. MULTIPLE perspectives. Amazing!
However, we are currently living in a full technology/social media-based era. The general population will tune into television, Facebook, YouTube, or others to see an alternate reality. Yes, alternate. To temporarily escape their own.
But, why escape? Your mind, EVERY MIND, is fully capable of creating the same stories…. and EVEN better. Why not give them to the world? Why not?
Is it easier to simply turn on the TV or click your Facebook icon? Yeah, I guess so. But, at what cost? Each time you push those buttons, you drive farther from “The Self”, aka…. YOURself.
