YOU ARE WHO YOU THINK YOU ARE

You are who you think you are.

What does that mean exactly? It means exactly what it says, “you ARE who you think you are”.

In this article, I will explain “modeling” which is well-known in the world of Neuro-linguistic Programming.

The way you project yourself to others derives from your mindset. When I say “mindset”, I mean the actual “built from the ground up” way that you WANT to interact with the world. This can be programmed over and over again.

In essence, if you want to interact with others or vice versa as a multimillionaire CEO, then there are programming methods that can be used to do this.

If you want to interact with the world as the friendliest librarian known to mankind, the same applies.

The BEST part about these programming methods is that not only will you achieve this perception in your mind, but you will physically begin to produce results in line with who or what you want to be.

To be even more specific, you can select a person, any person, that you idolize in high regard, then choose to be THAT person.

Here’s how it works; I suggest that you take mental notes of the process, and try on your own after you listen to the instructions. It’s important that you’re “in the moment” 100%.

Now, choose a successful person, you one day wish to be like. Notice I said, “be like”, and not “be”. Though this seems very-much-so like a copy-cat method, it’s not, and keeping your individuality is VERY important.

So, choose a person you aspire to be like.

Close your eyes, and really try to separate yourself from your current reality.

Picture yourself as this person. Notice you’re wearing the same clothes.

You walk in exactly the same manner.

You’re body movements are in sync with theirs.

You’re making the same facial expressions they make.

You’re walking around, doing things that this person usually does.

Picture yourself interacting with others as this person.

Watch how you take control of situations, the same exact way as they do

Notice how others respond to you as if you are them

Now think about the things you now own. Their vehicle. Their house. Their friends.

Put yourself deep into their shoes. Be them.

Keep this up for 5 to 10 minutes

Then finally, come back to reality.

Do this once a day, for a total of 21 days. Expert psychologists suggest that if we do any one thing for 21 straight days, that it forms as a habit.

During this process it’s very important that you allow yourself to become entirely in-tune as this other person. You need your mind to familiarize itself with how they act, and their daily habits. Each day, your daily mindset and output will become more alike to theirs.

In return of visualizing yourself as them and combining a separate persona, your personal and career success patterns will fall in line.

As I stated at the beginning of this, “you are who you think you are”.
