Yes! It's a standalone program, not a plugin, so you can use it with any stream setup.
If you're just looking to create AI companions where the AI only interacts with you, JibberJabbey can be used with any platform because this bit doesn't require any integrations.
If you want to use the tip/donation alerts feature, the Creator Edition can be used with any streaming platform as long as the donations are made through StreamElements or Streamlabs. The AI character alert is generated within JibberJabbey itself, not through the StreamElements/Streamlabs alerts system.
Subscription alerts, gift sub alerts, cheers, channel point redemptions and chat messages in the Creator Edition are only supported for Twitch at the moment, but we're planning to expand to other platforms in future.

JibberJabbey goes beyond reading out messages in custom TTS or being a chatbot that prints AI generated messages into chat.
Stream pet plugins also don't have speech-to-text, meaning you can't talk to it directly out loud. JibberJabbey lets you do this, and it has natural-sounding back-and-forth conversations by generating its own unique responses.
It stays in character and remembers everything in that conversation with you and your chat. You'll often catch it referring back to something that was previously said or an in-joke with your chat.

JibberJabbey can understand and respond in all languages supported by ChatGPT. Too many to list!
It has exceeded everyone's expectations in understanding and using local phrases, mannerisms, humor, and even local swear words.
JibberJabbey can also code-switch naturally between languages if you want it to be multilingual. There are some tips in the user manual about how to instruct it to speak other languages.
On top of being able to apply your custom voices to different languages, there are also 90 voices/accents from 29 different countries* built into JibberJabbey's Azure TTS voice options to pair with different languages. If there's a language/voice in the Azure Voice Gallery (login using any Microsoft account) that you want but don't see in JibberJabbey, get in touch and I can add it for you.

No. JibberJabbey doesn't actually store any LLMs on your device. It connects to OpenAI, and OpenAI can only interface with JibberJabbey while the program is running and connected to internet. OpenAI cannot access or interface with any other programs on your device through JibberJabbey.

We haven't heard of anyone getting banned for what JibberJabbey has said. JibberJabbey uses OpenAI's AI models like ChatGPT, so it's bound by the same rules.
For extra peace of mind, you can add banned words, phrases and usernames when you connect to Twitch and StreamElements. Your custom characters will ignore inputs that contain these words.
There are some tricks to make your characters swear and roast people (which it does a brilliant job at). You'll be given some tips on how to do this once you get started. You can also find tips & tricks in our Discord community.

JibberJabbey has been created for entertainment purposes and to put a smile on people’s faces. Please don’t use it to do anything illegal, unethical or harmful.
It's not intended to replace the hard work of content creators, voice actors and others in the entertainment industry, so always consider situations where consent is needed (e.g. before cloning a voice for your character). It's intended as a companion or tool for creators, rather than as a standalone replacement for streaming channels.
You can head to Open AI's usage policies and ElevenLabs’ terms to find out more about ethical use of these technologies.
JibberJabbey accepts no responsibility for any harm caused to you or others from using the program. This is because you are in full control of creating your characters, making voice clones, and setting banned words/phrases. Third-party software then generates the content. JibberJabbey simply acts as a hub to bring all of these exciting bits together!

JibberJabbey does not charge any usage fees or take a cut of your earnings.
To bring your characters to life, JibberJabbey interfaces with OpenAI, Microsoft Azure for standard TTS, and ElevenLabs for custom TTS & voice clones.
Usage and fees (if any) are all managed by you directly. Here's how it works:
- When you first get started, usage is free. You won't incur any fees for a while (or ever, if you don't plan on using it much/long-term).
- OpenAI & Azure will give free credit to new accounts. A lot of users don’t max out their free credits for 3 months.
- Most people never pay for Azure TTS even after their free credits run out because Azure gives you half a million characters of free TTS per month, ongoing.
- If you want to add custom voices, ElevenLabs also has a free plan. To make voice clones, they have plans starting at $1 per month.
- While usage costs vary depending on how you use the program and how often you use it, after OpenAI & Azure free credits run out, each message generally costs around 0.001 cents (i.e. $0.00001). Users average $0.05-0.10 for a full hour of non-stop use with OpenAI + Azure. ElevenLabs is pricier, so creators often cover the cost by using custom voices with donations or bits.
- You can set usage caps and alerts in your third-party accounts for peace of mind. For example, if you choose 'F0' during Azure TTS set up, they will automatically cap your usage at half a million characters each month and you will not be charged.
For content creators, the stream revenue boost far outweighs the cost (if any)!
"Unless you have hundreds of people in chat using it constantly, you should be under like $1 per month in fees" - ButteredNoodies
"Realistically you could charge 2 bits to use it and it would cover the cost" - Stanynobl
