🎨 Week 4 — Don’t Just Apply, Tweak: Personalizing Your Presets

Presets are your starting point — not the final step.

Think of them like a recipe: you’ve got the main ingredients, but you get to season it your way. Every photo is different, and even a slight adjustment can completely elevate your final result.

🛠️ Quick Adjustments to Try After Applying a Preset:

  1. Brightness — Your original photo might be under- or overexposed. Fix that first.
  2. Ambience — Great for controlling mood and softening harsh contrasts.
  3. White balance — Adjust warmth/coolness depending on your lighting.
  4. Selective edits — Want one object to pop? Use Snapseed’s selective tool.
  5. Crop & rotate — Align your subject, follow your composition instincts.

⚡ Why it matters:

When people say, “This looks like you,” it’s often because you’ve taken the time to make each photo yours. Presets help set the mood, but these final tweaks define your signature style.

🎯 Challenge for the week:

Pick one photo. Apply “Wxrm Tones 01.” Then try making 3 small adjustments: one to light, one to color, and one to detail. Trust your eye — tweak until it feels right.

Remember: Editing isn’t about following rules — it’s about refining your vision.

Your presets are powerful. But your creative choices? That’s what sets you apart.
