A Letter to my Mom Episode 1

To my Mama who grew more flowers than she ever wore jewels,

whose friendships weighed more than gold,

and whose wisdom was more precious than diamonds.

Your beauty wasn’t just seen — it was felt.

I love you, always. 💐❤️

I just remembered what you always told us:

“You’ll understand someday — when you become a mom too.”

Back then, I’d see you every day in the garden —

cleaning, planting flowers, trimming leaves.

You did it without fail, rain or shine.

I never really understood why.

You’d simply tell us,

"I grow these plants because sometimes, they carry the sickness meant for us."

Now I know.

It was your way of staying sane.

Of lifting the weight of the world off your shoulders.

Of easing the quiet worries that sat in your heart.

It was your peace.

Your healing.

Your prayer.

And today, Ma — I finally understand.

Being a mom comes with moments when you ask yourself,

"Am I doing enough? Am I giving enough?"

But let me tell you this…

You gave us more than we could ever need.

You gave us love, rooted deep, blooming quietly.

With all of my heart,

Joyce

Your daughter, who finally understands
