Namaste Care at Home
A way to bring calm, connection, and comfort into the moments you share
A way to bring calm, connection, and comfort into the moments you share
You're doing your best — but there are still moments when your person feels unsettled, distressed, or hard to reach.
In those moments, it can be difficult to know what will help.
As dementia progresses, communication often changes, and what once brought comfort may no longer work in the same way.
But the need for comfort, dignity, and human connection does not disappear.
Namaste Care focuses on the things that still matter — the environment around us, our presence, and the small moments of connection we share.
It is not about doing more.
It is about helping your person feel more settled, more understood, and more at ease through the moments you already share.
No special equipment.
No complicated routines.
Just practical ways to bring comfort, connection, and reassurance into everyday life.
This course will show you how to do that in a way that feels natural, realistic, and right for you.
This is for anyone supporting someone living with advanced dementia at home.
Whether you are a family carer, partner, or someone closely involved in day-to-day support,
this will help you feel clearer, calmer, and more confident in how you respond.

This course is created by Amy, a dementia specialist with a deep commitment to improving care for people living with advanced dementia.
Amy is co-founder of the Scottish charity Namaste Care Education and Resources (NEAR), where she supports services to bring more compassion, presence, and connection into everyday care.
At the heart of her work is a simple belief:
the person is still there — still communicating, and still deserving of comfort, dignity, and meaningful connection.
This course brings that approach into everyday life at home —
helping you feel more confident, more supported, and clearer in how to respond in the moments that matter.
By the end, you will have a clearer sense of:
You’ll also have a way to recognise the difference your care is making —
even in the smallest moments.
