Position to Astral travel

So… Astral travel…


Let’s be honest: how many have actually done it?


Truth: less than you think. And if you think you have done it… well… think again.


This is hardcore practice that might take years to accomplish. And even if you do manage to accomplish once, be sure that it might be one of the very few times you will manage to do it again.


Honestly, you have much more chances to astral travel while sleeping, than doing it consciously.


Wanna know the trick to know if you have really done it? Here it is:

WITHOUT LOOKING place a random card, from a simple card deck, somewhere you will see it if you really do get out of your body. Then, after returning in your body, check if the card you saw is in fact the card you placed. No cheating! You will only be cheating on yourself, so it’s pointless.


Another hint:

The first time you are about to (finally!) astral project, you will feel vigorous vibrations. I’m talking serious, violent, “10 on the Richter scale” vibrations. So vigorous, that you will probably panic and loose concentration.


IT’S OK! It means you are ready… for take off! And it won’t be that scary next time :)


Now let’s talk about… positions:


You will probably read everywhere that you should be lying down on your back for this. Or have the standard lotus position.


Well, yeah, this is a very basic, very good position… If you are the “I’m off like a bird” kind of person.

BUT, not all us are. Some get out from our head, others from our feet and others from our spine. Took me months to figure out why I kept feeling a “blockage” just moments before “getting out”! But, once I tried lying face down, everything got easier. 


So, if you keep feeling a “blockage” or an “obstacle” when trying to astral travel, try changing your position.


As for travelling position… well, it can be weird. If you are lucky, you will be on an upright position, moving straight ahead. But, that is not always the case. Me, I hover horizontally, facing up and moving forward. When I meet another traveler or entity, I immediately bounce at an upright position. No, it’s not intentional. Once the meeting ends, I again immediately bounce back at the horizontal, position. Again, not intentionally. Sounds annoying, right? Well… it is!

P.S.1 - NEVER try Astral traveling without first casting a basic protection circle around you! Just a heads up ;)


P.S.2 - When you wish to return, just look at where your feet should be. The “think of your body” trick, doesn’t always work.


P.S.3 (last one, I promise!) - ALWAYS set an alarm clock next to you before starting. Set it to be LOUD in about 2 to 3 hours max. Time feels completely different in the Astral plane, plus, just in case you are having trouble getting back, the alarm will bring you back. A bit violently, but you’ll be back, and that’s what counts. Just make sure it will be LOUD and with a seriously annoying and metallic sound.
