White for Black…? Seriously…?

Here is something that bothers me:

I keep reading that “a white candle can replace any other color candle, INCLUDING the black candle”…

…OK, that is just wrong.

My dear fellow Witches, NEVER replace a black candle with a white one! The whole concept is wrong!

White is all colors. Black is absence of color. Therefore, u can’t replace all colors for no color.

If u really need to use a black candle right away and don’t have one (I can’t think of a situation that something like that is even possible, but ok), then use a plain bee’s wax candle.

Remember: colored candles is a very new thing. In older days, there where no colored candles, only plain bee’s wax candles. Old Witches (yes, me included), used other means to “color” their candles, like ribbons or threads on plain bee’s wax candles. And if u really want to be creative, then color your candle by melting some crayons on it. Yup, that works too.

But, for the love of the Goddess, do NOT use white candles to replace black ones!

Blessed be my fellow Witches 🌛🌕🌜
