Cleopatra Island: famous for its unique golden sand and crystal-clear waters. Legend has it that the Roman general Mark Antony had the sand shipped all the way from Egypt as a gift for Cleopatra, as the island’s original beaches did not meet her standards. This special sand is said to be unlike any other in Turkey—soft, fine, and almost silky to the touch. Walking along the shore and dipping our feet into the warm, turquoise waters felt like stepping into a postcard. (pictures below)

The island had a peaceful charm, I really had the impression I was in a country far far away and not even in Turkey! We took our time exploring its beauty before heading back on the boat to continue our journey.

It was the perfect mix of history, nature, and relaxation—making our boat trip even more special.
