Here is one seasoned gamer's review of the On Base Baseball Decade Roster Sheet set.

Delivery of Items
Ok, I didn't get the 1950s seasons off the website, but I did get the demo a few months ago. It was really easy to get because you didn't have to PayPal or Venmo money and wait for the creator to send the files. You just get the PDFs immediately. I have also emailed Brian (On Base's creator) and he gets back to me in a coupleĀ of hours at most.
Printing
One thing I like about printing the On Base Baseball Decade Roster Sheets and Game Engine Charts is how easy the PDFs are to print. In some other games you have to do a lot of trial and error and change printer settings to get the cards and charts to print out nicely. With On Base, and especially the roster sheets, all I have to do is hit print and the charts print off without cutting anything off. I also really like having roster sheets instead of individual cards because you can have every player that played in a season. That helps a lot with as-played replays.
Instructions
I have no complaints about the instructions. In fact, the On Base Quick Start Guide is one of the better instruction booklets I have seen. It is 16 pages, which sounds like a lot but it's actually shorter than it sounds. It goes over every situation you may come across while playing. There are pictures and big text so it makes it easy to look up a question you may have.
Gameplay
This is the section I was most excited to write, and for good reason. If I wanted to introduce someone to tabletop baseball this would be the game I would show them. If you basically chop off the bottom section of the Game Engine Chart you could teach someone to play this game (at a very basic level) in under 1 minute. Then, once they get comfortable, you can add on the rules at the bottom of the chart.
Just because I mentioned how basic this game can be earlier doesn't mean it is always extremely basic. With the rules on the bottom of the chart, you can add on rules such as fast runners turning singles into doubles, and baserunners taking extra bases.
One other comment about the gameplay is that it's fun. As Ron Juckett, of Retro Sports Network says, it's a good sign if you get done with a game and want to start another. As a final thought for this game, I find it hard to play just one, especially when the games are moving along quickly.
