Today is a new day

Not because the calendar says so, but because God's mercy says so.

If you woke up tired, carrying yesterday's weight, maybe a word you wish you hadn't said, a decision you regret, or a silence you can't undo, here's the quiet truth: you don't have to earn this morning.

Lamentations 3:22–23 isn't a quote to post and forget. It's a lifeline:

"His mercies are new every morning."

Not recycled. Not "we'll see how you do today and then decide." New. Fresh. Unearned. Given.

So before you check your phone, before you replay the failure, before you rehearse the worry, take one breath and say this out loud if you can:

"Lord, I don't know what this day holds. But I know You hold this day. That's enough."

Today isn't about performing perfectly. It's about taking one small step. Maybe that's making your bed. Maybe it's sending one text you've been avoiding. Maybe it's just sitting in silence for sixty seconds and letting God's presence feel closer than your fear.

And if you stumble again today? You will. So will I.

But tonight, when you lay your head down, you won't be graded on your performance. You'll be held by the same grace that met you this morning. That grace doesn't run out. It just resets.

So go ahead. Open the blinds. Make the coffee. Say a clumsy prayer.

Today is a new day.

Not because you fixed yourself.

But because He never stopped loving you.
