LEADERSHIP WITH INTEGRITY
Kenya has a long way to go for economic development in our counties to be experienced. People vote, for leaders who will propel them to better living standards. These include;good business environment, employment opportunities, better housing, good and affordable health care, poverty eradication, industrial development, socio-economic growth, good sanitation and access to clean water. etc But what we see in our counties is the direct opposite of our expectations.
Most of our county leaders are driven by greed, misuse of public funds, inability to articulate issues affecting people in their counties, corruption, and unnecessary competition, incompetence, the list is endless.
I firmly believe that as voters we need to change our voting patterns by electing people who will address and solve the basic problems affecting us. These include a good road network, proper drainage system, housing, water, good health care, eradication of illiteracy level, poverty eradication, security etc.
We need leaders who will serve and not be the lord of others,we need servant leaders and not dictators, you become honorable because of what you do and not what you say. What can you say as a county leader when farmers don't have places to sell their harvested crops; when people are sharing one bed in hospitals; where local dispensaries don't have enough personnel and drugs, the level of poverty in our counties is increasing daily; youths have no jobs, the mortality rate is on the rise because of lifestyle diseases like cancer, diabetics ,high blood pressure which are killing hundreds of people daily. We need visionary leaders, people who have leadership capacity, good governors of public resources, selfless leaders, competent and God-fearing leaders. Kenya's problems will only be solved when we elect the right people and not greedy, selfish, and people who are hungry for power at whatever cost.
