THE ROLE OF EDUCATION IN NATION BUILDING
Education is an important investment in the growth and development of any nation; no country can achieve sustainable economic development without substantial investment in human capital. Even the most developed nations in the world have invested massively in the education of their citizens. The main objective of education is to enrich people's understanding of themselves and the world. Education raises people's level of productivity, and creativity and promotes entrepreneurship and technological developments. Education has an important role in securing economic and social progress which in return improves income distribution. Education does not mostly involve cramming facts, it's about understanding the facts learned and applying them to other concepts. This in return helps people to develop their personality and perspective on the world around them and thus enables them to think creatively and conceptually about different issues in life.

Education helps people to maximize their talents by putting them to good use that is, it enables people to develop technology, travel outer space and develop new treatments for deadly diseases. This in return helps to solve some major problems, which in return make people develop socially and economically and upgrade the health of a given nation. Education, therefore, becomes a problem solver and makes work easier. The development of information technology is a true reflection of how an educated nation can bring transformation and economic development to a given nation. Education provides a stepping stone to the real world, offering many different courses on proper financial development, life planning, and personal development.
Civic education enables people to know their rights and can question authority for its negligence or discrepancies. As a result, citizens can seek improvement in the structural functioning of governance and the economy; when people know about the policies of their government that can support change. Education further provides a foundation for development, the groundwork on which economic, political and social wellbeing is built. Education is key to increasing economic, political and social consistency and efficiency.
