Pogo Pin Connectors

A pogo pin connector is a spring-loaded pin that is used in many electronic applications. This spring-loaded pin mechanism has many uses, especially in the electronics testing industry. Today, the pogo pin connector is widely used in many modern applications. You'll find a variety of these connectors on the market, so you can be confident that you'll be able to find the best one for your needs.

Protected pogo pin connector

The protected pogo pin connector is a press-contact type connector. It has a main pin body made of a metal rod. The flange portion is positioned at the rear end of the metal rod. This flange portion is integrally formed with the rear outer circumference of the main pin body. It protrudes from the end of the cylinder in a manner that brings it into contact with a contact terminal on the battery.

Protected pogo pin connectors are manufactured by press-contact machining using a variety of machining devices. This method of production is expensive and limits size reduction. The cylinders must be sufficiently small to fit into the housing. During the manufacturing process, the pin can radially move inside the cylinder 1. This can result in an interruption of the signal transmission upon external shock.

This waterproof connector has many uses, including data communication, data collection terminals, and mobile GPS devices. Its advanced technology makes it the preferred connector for many industries, including industrial robots, notebooks, and smart homes.

TC2050

The TC2050 is a 10 pin legged pogo pin connector. This connector offers a compact and quick method to test and debug a PCB. Its compact design enables you to connect many pins close together to reduce board space. The TC2050 also features multiple through-holes to help with proper alignment.

The connector is installed in a socket using a spring-loaded inserter. The springs are molded in a handle, which makes it similar to a full test fixture. The only difference is that this connector is not suited for PCBs. The TC2070 socket is a reversed version of a TC2050. Its conical holes allow the probe to fit easily inside. This allows the probe to remain in place without falling out.

Glenair Compact Bayonet

This spring-loaded compact bayonet connector is designed for extended harsh environment applications. The compact bayonet design and spring-loaded contacts provide increased durability and resist damage during mating cycles. The connector is also IP68 rated, making it suitable for continuous immersion in water. Its IP68 rating is based on testing that shows it can survive immersion in water up to 0.4 bar for 48 hours.

Tag-Connect

Pogo pin connectors are a low-profile way to bring design and production testing together in one convenient location. As they are close together, they require minimal space on a PCB and enable rapid test and debugging. Today, you can find a wide variety of individual pogo pins, both off-the-shelf and for cable and Printed Circuit Board (PCB) integration.

The Tag-Connect connector features rugged construction and high-reliability pogo pins. In addition to this, you don't have to worry about programming the connector on the PCB, which reduces board costs and helps you program efficiently. It is available in stock and supports most debug protocols and interfaces.

Another feature that makes this connector unique is the reduced size. While most other programming cables feature rectangular pins, Tag-Connect uses circular copper pads. The pogo pins are spring-loaded contacts that contact small pads on the target PCB. This enables users to program a device with ease without a dedicated programming fixture, header part, or assembly labor. However, you must still provide power to the board.
