Launching My Career

Graduation loomed, weighing as much as the textbooks I had to carry for four years. As a diverse group of aspiring teachers, my friends and I were a mixture of fear and excitement. The reality of job hunting, interviews, and the great uncertainty of the "real world" felt like a gulf opening before us, despite the innumerable nights we'd spent fueled by sleepless nights and day dreams. I kept asking myself if my degree would be sufficient. What made me unique amid hundreds of other graduates? My stomach turned just thinking about socializing to other knowledgeable and proficient people and establishing my worth in a work environment. I had the impression which I am uncertain of whether I would soar or fall.

The job search as far as I know was a wild ride in and of itself. My confidence was shattered by the some friends murmuring on their barrage rejection emails. I feel like burden thinking even just writing a cover letter and résumé for hours. When I got opportunity to be called to apply for a job just before graduation, I felt happy yet so nervous. In front of the mirror, I rehearsed my interview techniques while attempting to appear confident, which I most definitely didn't feel. The sense of being judged was a constant source of stress. But despite the tension, a small glimmer of resolve appeared. I was aware that I needed to keep working hard, learning new things, and having faith in myself. Then, a chance presented itself. New teachers were needed by a private business startup that specialized in online teaching.

Although it was just a common job, it felt perfect. I identified with this small company's objective, and the staff and bosses appeared to be truly enthusiastic about what they did. I gave my all during the application process, emphasizing my pertinent projects and studies . I got an interview, which surprised and delighted me. I thoroughly studied the demo and rehearsed my responses to often asked interview questions. Despite my nervousness, I was resolved to present the best version of myself as I entered the interview room. Despite my nervousness, I was resolved to present the best version of myself as I entered the interview room.

The interview went more smoothly than I had anticipated. I sensed a sincere excitement for the position, it was just short and sweet, I was so lucky, I think as I connected with the interviewers. It was an instant approval from the demo, right after my interview, I saw my score flash on screen, I was thrilled to see that I passed, I was hired! All of the late hours, the stress, and the self-doubt seemed worthwhile at that precise moment. The relief was incredible, and I felt a wave of pure delight rush over me. Shortly after graduating from college, I had secured my first job. It was evidence of my diligence, tenacity, and the encouragement of my loved ones.
