A Burst of Autumn Colors by the River Lyon 2025

🍁 A Burst of Autumn Colors by the River – Lyon, 2025

I took this photo on a crisp autumn afternoon in Lyon, right by the river. The air had that perfect October chill — cool enough for a cozy jacket, but still full of soft sunlight.

What caught my eye was this stunning maple tree, glowing in shades of red and orange like it was quietly on fire. Behind it, the golden leaves created the perfect backdrop, making the whole scene look like something out of a painting. The reflection on the calm water made everything even more magical.

There’s something about autumn in Lyon that makes the city slow down. People linger a little longer by the river, the light gets warmer, and every corner seems to whisper, “look closer.” It’s one of those moments that reminds you to just pause and breathe it all in.

They say autumn is an ending.

But this one? It’s not an ending.

It’s a release.

Not to die. Not to fade.

But to remind us that beauty doesn’t need to last to be real.

That joy doesn’t have to be permanent to be felt.

That life doesn’t have to be eternal to be sacred.

And in that blaze — she taught me how to burn without needing to be seen.

How to exist without needing to be useful.

How to be small, and yet hold the entire universe in your leaves.
