Yesterday we saw the very first bumble bee pollinating our flowers, we was so thrilled that we shouted out in excitement "ooooooo a bee, its the first bee" today we saw the first butterfly we tried to take a picture, but they kept teasing me by flying off as soon as I got close. I went for a walk and so many people were out mowing their lawns, we don't mow until around April or May time to give the bees a chance to get the nectar from the wonderful dandelions that we do not personally see as weeds because they have so many benefits to both us and nature. Every part of the dandelion can be used, the root can be dried, roasted and drank as a replacement to coffee. The young leaves are high in vitamins and minerals, you can add them to salads or cook them. They have medicinal properties too, you can find out more about the dandelion by signing up to Plantlife Joy membership where you can learn all about plants, ways to garden naturally and more!
