I really enjoyed reading "Hearts On Fire" and i would easily give it 5 stars. From the beginning, the story pulled me in with its emotional depth and strong characters. It follows Ruby and Josh, whose relationship starts suddenly but quickly becomes something much deeper. What I liked most is how real everything felt, especially both characters are dealing with their own struggles.
As I kept reading, I found myself really invested in their journey. Ruby is strong but still vulnerable, and Josh's character development stood out the most to me. Watching him go through difficult situations and try to change made the story feel powerful and meaningful. Their relationship isn't perfect, which made it even more realistic and emotional.

The story follows Ruby, a girl whos life is turned upside down by her parents' divorce and her father's struggles with addiction. She moves to San Diego with her mother to start fresh, trying to rebuild her life which dealing with loneliness and change. As she begins to settle in, she meets Josh and the two quickly form a strong connection that feels exciting and meaningful.
However their relationship becomes complicated as Josh is dealing with his own struggles, including grief and involvement in a dangerous lifestyle. While Ruby sees love and hope in him, his actions and silence begin to hurt her, creating tension and emotional conflict. The story explores love, pain, growth and whether two people can overcome their pasts to build something real together.
