Practice Kindness And Longsuffering With Non-Believers

I have been in a group on Facebook that openly debates the Bible and God's existence and so on. I have found that killing the unbelieving with kindness, sound doctrine and logic knocks them a little off their game. I see so many get into that angry tit for tat with the unbelieving and it goes nowhere fast and I can tell it frustrates those who do believe. It will be nearly impossible to reach them with anything less than proof or overwhelming evidence that they can't refute.

I tell them things like God fulfilled 2,000 prophecies and the conservative odds of that many prophecies in the Old Testament being fulfilled is a 1 followed by 2,000 zeroes to 1. I tell them about over 100,000 archeological artifacts that prove the prophecies were fulfilled. I tell them about Jesus fulfilling 8 historically documented prophecies and that would be the equivalent of covering Texas in silver dollars 2 feet high, painting a red check on one silver dollar, then mixing it all up. Now blind fold the atheist and let him pick the red check silver dollar on the first try. I tell them about the number of atoms in the entire universe is a 1 followed by 80 zeroes. You have to add 1,920 zeroes to the number of atoms to get to the odds God could fulfill 2,000 prophecies in the Old Testament. If you can make the atheist think it knocks them off their game when they have to actually reason out a comeback that halfway makes sense. If you do it with kindness and sincerely love them, you can get somewhere. If you do not want to see them lost and eternally separated from God that comes through to them. We must remember we may be the only bible these people ever see so let us be a good example of truth and love. True love reminds me of my "Daddy" a man who loved me enough not to let me get away with the punishable but let me know and punished me. I soon realized the truth and love are one and the same.

God gave us his "Ten Commandments" and we have all broken every one of them. If you can hold the commandments up to them like a mirror they can see themselves. If you ask them are they a good person most every time they will say yes. Then ask a series of questions; Have you ever told a lie? What do you call someone who tells a lie? They will wiggle and squirm to not call themselves a liar but ask them if you told lies what would you call me and they will call you a liar. Jesus said if you lust for a woman you have committed adultery with her in your heart. Have you ever lusted and of course we all have unless they are lying. Oh yeah and we are all liars. After 4-5 commandments you can tell them by your own admission you are a lying, adulterer, thief and blasphemer at heart. If God judged you by the Ten Commandments would you be guilty or innocent? Will you go to heaven or hell?

Now comes the work and you thought the hard part was over. They are still going to say but God will forgive me, I am a good person. Then you must explain to them God will judge you and me on the Ten Commandments and we can not keep them so we will be found guilty......but God sent his only begotten son to pay the price for our sins with his life and precious blood. If we accept Jesus as our Lord and Savoir He will pay the fine for our sins and we can go free. This is how much God and Jesus love you and he will send his Holy Spirit to dwell within you. This is witnessing 101 and always do it with love that lets them know you don't want to see them eternally separated from God.

God Bless
