If you are like me, my bedroom is the place where I retreat when I need to unwind, relax, and collect my thoughts. It is my escape from everything and everybody. So, creating the right atmosphere within the bedroom is essential.
Because our desired goal is to create a space for rest and to be luxurious, we must measure out both elements so that they do not compete against each other.
1. Opt for high-end quality pieces with polished finishes and elegant lines.
2. Be intentional when choosing a bed because it sets the tone for the entire space.
3. Pick a headboard that stands out; opt for an upholstered headboard with rich luxurious fabrics like velvet or maybe leather.
4. This should be step one: planning and knowing which design style is essential to creating your dream room.
5. Some designers and stylists believe that color does not define luxury; however, I disagree. Some colors and color combinations exclude luxury.
6. Choose a complimentary color palette.
7. Ensure that there is adequate lighting within the space because everything—the furniture, fabric choices, color palette, and lighting—all pay off each other.
8. Incorporate glamorous and varied lighting; opt for overhead lighting in addition to wall and/or table lamps.
9. Add a stylish seating area.
10. Integrate inviting decorative accents such as vases, wall art, candles, etc.
