There are many resume templates online but you can also download one for FREE from your Microsoft Word!
**The directions are for Mac users but it’s very similar across all other computers as long as you have a Microsoft Word.**
Go to File>>New from Template. You will get a pop-up window like below.
In the search box indicated by the red arrow, type “Resume” and hit enter.
Voila! Download or click “Create”.
Smart Tip #1: Before you work on your resume, start brainstorming all your accomplishments from your previous job. If you can't remember, check your performance reviews. If you are applying to a specific and technical role, make sure you go and check out their job description and use the keywords that they used. If the company is using an AI to screen out the candidates, your resume will get picked up if your resume contains the keywords they are looking for.
Smart Tip #2: If you are not doing this at your current job, start now. You should ALWAYS update your resume immediately after each accomplishment. It doesn't matter how small. Did you just get recognized for something? Just write it down! You can always polish it later for that next role. It will be a lot harder to remember your achievement later so update your resume often.
