Yeseul Kim
Pianist · Arranger · Educator
Hi, I'm Yeseul Kim — a pianist and arranger based in Washington State.
My musical language has been shaped by listening to Chopin, Hank Jones, Cory Henry, and Kenny Barron — over and over again. I think my music lives somewhere between classical precision and jazz freedom.
I studied piano performance, then worship music, then earned my Master's in Jazz Composition from WSU — all while spending over a decade working across K-pop sessions, drama soundtracks, string arrangements, and concert stages in Korea. The most important thing I learned through all of it: there's nothing truly difficult in music, only things you haven't made familiar yet. Helping students build that familiarity is at the heart of what I teach.
These days, I create jazz piano content on YouTube, take on arranging and recording commissions, and teach jazz harmony and reharmonization to students around the world.
If you're looking for your own voice in jazz — let's find it together.
